A man was struck and critically injured by a motorist who fled the scene on the
city's South Side.
The collision happened at about
8:15 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 75th Street and Ridgeland Avenue in
the South
Shore neighborhood.
The 55-year-old victim was crossing
75th Street when he was struck by a dark-colored vehicle traveling west.
The man was taken to Northwestern
Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
