Jamille Marshall, 22, told police she and a friend found the yellow pit bull mix puppy on her balcony around 9:30 a.m. Monday. She told Police “She tossed the dog off the balcony because it wasn’t theirs and they didn’t want it,’’.
The dog broke its front left leg and had “severe difficulty walking,’’.
Marshall laughed when officers arrested he. She said to the Officers "The Police must have better things to do than worry about a dog,’’.
The dog was taken to the Animal Care and Control for treatment.
One of the responding officers has decided to adopt the dog.
Marshall, of the 3100 block of West Monroe Street, was charged with one felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals.
