Three women and a man died and two others were seriously wounded in a car
crash in the Little
Village neighborhood early Saturday morning.Two women and a man died at the scene. Two people were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, but one of them later died. The other victim was taken to Stroger Hospital.
The Cook County medical examiner's office identified one of the four victims - Gabriella Sanchez, 19, of the 3000 block of South Kolin Avenue. She was pronounced dead at 1:27 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Police said the vehicle was going north on Kedzie at a high rate of speed and hit a light pole, possibly after clipping a semitrailer, and everyone inside was ejected when the car was tore apart. The driver, a male, survived.
UPDATE:
Gustavo Pichardo, 20, is still recovering at John H. Stroger Jr., Hospital of Cook County. He was one of only two people to survive the violent crash.
All six people in the car were ejected when the car hit a light pole about 1 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 31st Street and Kedzie Avenue, police said. Pichardo was the was behind the wheel.
Pichardo, of the 3600 block of West 61st Street, was cited with disobeying a red light, DUI-drugs, transporting alcohol and failure to reduce speed. He hasn’t been charged with the deaths of the four passengers

What a tragedy!! Unfortunately these are the devastating effects of people driving under the influence. My heart goes out to the parents who lost two children in in instant. May they find the strength to move on, and may this be a lesson for people who decide to drink and drive.
31st and kedzie is a dangerous intersection...the kids were probably trying to get back to west Little Village and got into a car chase by latin kings who were out on security with several burbans...this is not just a case of drunken driving...
Da kings did it for sure. They were chasing these four who struck a king earlier n saw it happening n gave chase ramming da victims car continuously til it caught fire killing them.

Thtas not the whole thing the big pictrue is that one of the persons that was in the car was in a gang called the gangter two six a gang that hates and will kill a latin king, well the gangter two six that was in the car was from avers 31 nick name tank he was fat and white, for the matter of fact that the express way is right their, it seems to be that the car came out of the express way or was coming down from 38 and kedzie and the car was seem from the latin kings and got it to them seems that the person driving was not a very good driver but the whole thing was, that the driver didnt know what to do and panic and thats when everthing else happen, poor to say they all die but the person they wanted to get was the guy that gos by tank, also poorly his sister was in the same car and she had die with her brother in the car crash. the point is to not jioin a gang because one day or another u will die and when u die u might not want to take people u love with u for something that makes no snice aka a gang
