36-year-old man shot to death in Logan Square

In Logan Square, a 36-year-old man was shot to death on the 1600 block of North Mozart Drive about 12:15 a.m. Police said the shooting was gang related but didn't say what gave them that impression. They were alerted to the shooting by someone who called police and said someone was shot. The man died at the scene

Sorry about your loss, unfortunately the wonderful politics and media in our city tend to lie. They don't want to alarm the public as to how dangerous the city truly is. If they say it's "gang related"then it's just another gangbanger killed and nobody cares. Again my condolences.

This was my son...he was at this block because he got a call to pick up a kid he was helping in which he mentored to keep off the gangs and tried to make a difference in this kid's life. My son was a hard working man and he had three jobs in order to save up and come and live in the country. He also was an artist and came from a artistic christian family who taught him values to help his fellowman no matter whom and to love God...his life was sacrifice for someone else and I hope this kid learns the price my son paid for his life was sacrifice for his and I do hope this kid mends his life with a purpose. My son was a loving man who lost his son when he was only months and my son grieved him every moment of his life and life for him was painful so yes...he knew the hardships of life and this is why he helped many and he gave and helped the widowed and needy...so please get to know the person before judging this is something we taught our son...to love, respect, forgive...God Bless
