30-year-old man shot dead in Morgan Park

At about 1:42 a.m., a 30-year-old man was standing on a corner near his home in the 11600 block of South Hale Avenue when a man got out of a passing vehicle and opened fire.
The victim, Kenneth Reaves, was struck in the chest and taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, where he was pronounced dead.
After shooting Reaves, the gunman fled on foot. The shooting was witnessed by one of Reaves relatives.

Lord have mercy, this hurt my soul when i heard what happened. Kenny may not have been perfect but at the same time he didnt deserve to lose his life like this. He was a friend, cousin, brother to me and many others. My prayers goes out to his family(Reaves),true friends and his girlfriend Toya.
