At about 11:15 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was standing with a group of people in
the 3200 block of West Maypole Avenue in the East Garfield
Park neighborhood, when a gunman inside silver-colored vehicle pulled and
fired shots at the crowd.
Only the woman was struck; twice
in the right side of the chest. She was taken to John
H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in critical condition
