The victim, a 23-year-old man, was dropped off at Mount Sinai Hospital at about
11 p.m. Sunday after the man was wounded in the 3600 block of South California
Avenue in the Brighton Park neighborhood.
The victim was treated for a gunshot wound to the left side and was listed in
critical condition.
Authorities didn't offer a motive and hadn't made any arrests.
