A man in his 20s died and five other people were injured, three seriously, in a car crash near Archer and Spaulding avenues early Sunday morning in the Brighton Park neighbrohood on the Southwest Side.
The injured went to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
One car was traveling at a high rate of speed and hit something before it crashed into another car about 2:10 a.m.
One car's engine block landed more than 50 feet from where the car came to rest, on the south side of the street
