A 71-year-old man was fatally stabbed late Sunday during a quarrel with his
adult son inside his Hegewisch
neighborhood home.
The dead man, whose name wasn't immediately released, was found unresponsive
in the basement of his home in the 12900 block of South Manistee Avenue at about
10 p.m.
The man had an apparent stab wounds to his chest and arms and was dead at the
scene.
Police said the elderly victim was stabbed multiple times during an
altercation with his 31-year-old son.
Officers arrested the victim's son at
the scene, but no charges had been filed, as detectives continued their
