A 67-year-old woman was pronounced dead today after she was involved in a single-vehicle crash in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.
Olga Valenzuela, of the 3800 block of North Sacramento Boulevard, was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center at 11:57 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Valenzuela was driving on the 1700 block of West School Street at the intersection of Paulina Street when she attempted to pass a vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign.
But as Valenzuela's vehicle attempted to drive around the stopped car, she lost control and hit the stopped vehicle before driving over a sidewalk and hitting a traffic light as well as a tree
