Chicago police today issued a community alert after a woman was sexually assaulted early Sunday in the Brighton Park neighborhood.
The attack happened in the area of 46th Street and South Christiana Avenue between 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 a.m.
Police said a man grabbed the woman from behind and pushed her into a gangway, police said. The man then pushed her to the ground where he sexually assaulted her and the fled.
The man is described as Hispanic, between 28 and 36 years old, between 5-foot-7 inches tall and 5-foot-10 inches tall. He is said to weigh between 180 and 200 pounds. He is described as clean shaven and with black hair worn in a pony.
The man was wearing a dark outer garment, blue jeans and black shoes.
