A man was shot in the back near the intersection of 79th Street and Damen Avenue about 10:15 p.m. in the Gresham Neighborhood.
The man, 18, was driving a gray car when a gray van pulled alongside and someone inside started shooting.
He kept driving and stopped at a gas station north of 71st Street on Damen Avenue, where a Chicago Fire Department ambulance picked him up and took him to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition
