Chicago police pursued a suspected gunman's vehicle to west suburban Berwyn this afternoon after a man was shot to death earlier on the West Side in the city's Little Village neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 1:13 p.m. on the 2800 block of South Kildare Avenue.
The man, whose age was not immediately available, was shot in his stomach area.
The man was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary reports stated the gunman fled the scene in an SUV-type vehicle
