3 men found shot dead in South Side apartment

Three men were discovered fatally shot late Tuesday in an apartment in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the city's South Side.
The men were discovered at about 11:15 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Evans Avenue.
Officers responding to a call of a person shot found one man in the apartment's kitchen, another man in the hallway nearby, along with a third man found on the home's back porch.
The 34-year-old man found in the hallway was dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head, while the man on the rear porch -- described as being in his 30s -- appeared killed by multiple wounds to his body.

A relative of one of the victims discovered the men at about 11:15 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Evans Avenue.
Terry L. Brown, 34, was found lying in a pool of blood in a hallway between a bedroom and the kitchen.
Another man, Julius Benford, 29, was discovered in the kitchen with several wounds. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
A third, unidentified man, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered on the back porch with several gunshot wounds.Those on the scene described a gruesome scene inside the apartment: Blood-spattered walls and nearly two dozen bullet casings leading from the back porch into the home. Shots were believed to have been fired from at least two weapons.
Some say drugs were involved because some say narcotics and bundles of cash were found wrapped in plastic in the bedroom.
