Woman robbed, sexually assaulted on CTA Red Line

A 26-year-old woman was robbed and sexually assaulted at knifepoint early today while riding the CTA Red Line on the South Side.
About 4:55 a.m. the woman was riding southbound on the Red Line between Roosevelt Road and 79th Street when she was attacked by a man armed with a knife.

The attacker fled at the 87th Street station.
The community alert describes the suspect as a black man, 20-25, with a slim build, dark complexion and no facial hair.
He was wearing a black hooded jacket and all black clothing, and was armed with a black-handled knife with a long blade.
The CTA has provided footage from its surveillance cameras to assist police.
