Person "extremely critical" after pinned beneath Red Line train

A person was hospitalized in "extremely critical" condition after being removed from beneath a Red Line train at Clark and Division this afternoon.
The person was spotted by the operator of a northbound train at about 11:55 a.m.. Fire officials said the person was pinned under the train
The person was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in extremely critical condition, Fire Department spokesman Richard Rosado said. The person's gender or age were not available.
The train's operator was hospitalized in good-to-fair condition for observation, said CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis.
Northbound and southbound trains were rerouted above ground while power was cut and workers freed the person.
