Handyman found shot to death in vacant South Side building

A handyman was found shot to death in a vacant West Englewood neighborhood building this week, three days after the company he worked for last heard from him.
Khalifa Hicks, 47, of the 6700 block of South Laflin Street, died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide and was found Monday, the Cook County medical examiner’s office found following an autopsy.
The victim was a handyman for a company that owns a building in the 6600 block of South Wolcott Avenue, and someone from the real estate company called police about 4 p.m. Monday after not hearing from him since about 10 a.m. on Saturday
