Largest drug conspiracy in Chicago detailed in court documents

Court documents filed in federal court Thursday detail the largest narcotics conspiracy uncovered in the Chicago area, accusing a Mexican cartel of using jumbo jets, submarines and tunnels while smuggling huge quantities of drugs into the U.S.
Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla and Tomas Arevalo-Renteria are charged with helping operate the Sinaloa Cartel, allegedly responsible for funneling tons of cocaine and heroin to Chicago and other American cities.
The documents filed Thursday also summarize some of the government's evidence, including secretly recorded conversations and information provided by confidential informants.
