A 36-year-old woman in South Chicago was caught in gang crossfire and shot in the abdomen early Friday afternoon.
She was driving on the 8700 block of South Commercial Avenue at about 1:20 p.m. when she was shot.
Commercial Avenue acts as a dividing line between two gang territories and the victim had nothing to do with the shooting.
