Three people were shot and wounded late Tuesday afternoon on the city's Northwest Side in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting.
The two males and female of unknown ages were struck by gunfire at about 11:30 p.m. at the rear of a residence in the 2500 block of North Kilbourn Avenue, police said, citing early reports.
The two males were each struck in their legs, while the female victim was struck in the abdomen.
The males were taken to Stroger Hospital, while the female was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, all in stable condition.
Police were gathering details on how the shooting occurred, though early accounts indicate that the shots may have come from a passing car.
