Chicago police fired shots at a man who they said pointed a handgun at officers as he fled a domestic incident on the city's Far South Side.
The shots didn't hit the unidentified man, who was taken into custody after a brief chase.
Officers arrived at the home in the 10400 block of South Wentworth Avenue just after 6 p.m. Monday, when the man bolted out a back door, leading the officers to give chase.
During the chase, the man pointed a gun but didn't fire the weapon, police said. At least one of the officers opened fire.
