Woman in dice game critically wounded in West Garfield Park

A young woman was shot in the head while playing in a dice game in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the city's West Side. The 21-year-old woman remained in critical condition at Stroger Hospital following a shooting in the 4300 block of West Maypole Avenue at about 9:19 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said the victim had been taking part in a dice game when the shots rang out and she was struck in the head.
