A 53-year-old Southwest Side man was arrested for trying to force five children into his car.
Regugio Rangel watched five children ages 11 and 12 from his vehicle as they played in the 8100 block of South Kenneth Avenue in the Scottsdale neighborhood on Monday.
After watching and following the group, police said Rangel tried to strike up a conversation and eventually demanded that they get into his vehicle.
The children fled and gave a description to police, who later arrested Rangel.
Rangel, of the 3800 block of West 67th Street, was later charged with five counts of child abduction/luring a child.
