Details at this time are sketchy
A shooting this morning in the South Chicago neighborhood has resulted in at least one person  an infant girl  being taken to the hospital.
The incident at 84th Street and Muskegon Avenue involved a mother and her infant daughter. The mother heard shots and fell on the child.
It’s unclear exactly how the infant was injured, police said, but she suffered a head trauma and was taken first to Advocate Trinity Hospital before being transferred to Children's Memorial Hospital.
No age or condition was available on the infant at this time.
Update:
The incident happened about 8:11 a.m. at 84th Street and Muskegon Avenue, where the child and her 15-year-old aunt were walking a dog. The aunt heard shots and fell on the child. Earlier police reports had said the child was with her mother.
A man was bicycling in the area near the woman and her child when two male teens began shooting at the bicyclist, who managed to get away.
The child was hit by one of the bullets and was taken by family first to Advocate Trinity Hospital before being transferred to Children's Memorial Hospital where she underwent surgery.
