A man who tried to pull a girl into a Far South Side alley early Wednesday was stabbed in the chest, and he might seek medical attention, police said today in a community alert.
The incident happened about 7:20 a.m. on the 11700 block of South Princeton Avenue, according to the alert released late this afternoon.
Preliminary reports said a man, described as in his 20s, approached a 15-year-old girl and attempted to drag her into an alley. The girl struggled with the man and stabbed him in the upper left side of his chest, police said.
The man fled northbound on Princeton and might be seeking medical attention for his injury.
Police described the suspect as a black male who is about 5 feet and 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants at the time of the attack.
