19 YEAR OLD SHOT DEAD

At 11:53 p.m. in n the 1400 block of South Millard Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood, police responded to a report of a 19-year-old man shot in the chest, according to a news release from Chicago police News Affairs.
The man was walking on the street when an attacker approached and fired shots at him before fleeing on foot, the release said.
The man, later identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office as Deonre Douglas of the 2200 block of South Central Park Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:40 a.m.
