12 YEAR OLD GIRL SHOT

at 8:51 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Maypole Avenue in West Garfield Park, a 12-year-old girl was shot in the leg and buttocks, according to a police news release.
The girl had been outside when she heard shots and was hit. She was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County where she was listed in stable condition.
No one was in custody for either shooting and area detectives were investigating.
