A man cited for the 21st time in Kane County for driving with a suspended license is due in court Thursday on his most recent charge.
Paul H. Woodard, 34, of Chicago, was charged with aggravated DUI and driving with a suspended license after briefly leading a Montgomery police officer on a foot chase June 2.
According to reports, a Montgomery officer pulled Woodard over after seeing him driving erratically. The officer said Woodard did stop, but then got out of his car and fled. After a two-block chase, the officer was able to subdue him and place him under arrest, reports said.
The officer said Woodard had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and that he was slurring his words.
He was charged with aggravated DUI because he has a previous DUI conviction that happened when he was driving on a suspended license, charging documents said.
He has 20 previous citations for driving with a suspended license, almost all of them issued by the Aurora police, dating back to 1999, according to Kane County court records.
