Boy, 14, shot in both legs on Southwest Side (Tale of a racially changing community bringing the ghetto to you one shooting at a time)

A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after being shot this afternoon in the Scottsdale neighborhood, police said.
Police were notified about the shooting at about 5:30 p.m. after the boy showed up at Advocate Christ Medical Center for treatment, police said.
The teen told police he was standing on the street on the 8300 block of South Scottsdale Avenue when he heard shots and then realized he had been struck, police said. The teen was uncooperative and told police he did not know who shot him, police said.
He sustained two gunshot wounds to his left leg and one gunshot wound to his right leg, police said.
The teen's current condition was not available. Police are investigating the shooting.
