Chicago police discovered what's believed to be a "chop shop" operation in the North Austin neighborhood and arrested two men, police said tonight.
Mirza Meseljevic, 23, of the 8600 block of Niles Center Road in Skokie and Samel Meseljevic, 34, of the 6100 block of North Springfield Avenue, were arrested Friday and each charged with one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, police said.
Grand Central District patrol officers and a sergeant assigned to an Anti-Auto Theft Directed Mission received information that a stolen vehicle was located at a warehouse on the 5800 block of West Bloomingdale Avenue. Acting on the tip, officers went to the address and conducted surveillance and executed a search warrant, police said.
