Two women were stabbed Sunday night at a Mother's Day cookout in the city's Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.
Preliminary reports said the stabbings happened about 9:15 p.m. after children got into an argument at the cookout on the 7300 block of South Langley Avenue, said Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines. The victims were taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center where they were listed in "stable" condition, Gaines said.
