A 45-year-old woman was shot in the arm Tuesday night during a robbery at the West Rogers Park store where she clerks.
The robbery happened about 9 p.m. at a grocery store located on the 7100 block of North Ridge Boulevard, police said.
Preliminary reports said a suspect took an unknown amount of cash from the register and then fired one shot, striking the woman in her arm. The gunman fled the scene.
The woman was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston where she was treated and released.
As of 3:30 a.m., no one was in custody for the armed-robbery, police said.
