A 25-year-old man was shot to death at a gas station in the Chatham neighborhood early this morning, Chicago police said.
Michael Lewis, of the 8000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, was shot multiple times. The gas station where he was shot slightly before 1:30 a.m. is in the same block in which he resided.
He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 2:29 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
