Two men and a woman were wounded this morning in a shooting on the West Side in the city's Lawndale neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 12:15 a.m. on the 4200 block of West Cermak Road, said Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
Preliminary reports said the victims where found shot in the front hallway of a building, Greer said. They were standing outside when someone approached on foot and fired several shots. They fled to the front hallway after they were struck by the gunfire, police said.
A 22-year-old man with an arm wound was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. A 29-year-old woman also was taken to Mount Sinai with a graze wound to her head. A 25-year-old man shot in the back and leg was taken to Stroger Hospital.
As of 2 a.m., all three victims were reported in stable condition.
