2 shot in South Shore

A couple was hit by a barrage of gunfire as they rode down a South Shore street.
In one of the shootings, the female driver, 28, and her 27-year-old male passenger were inside a gray 1995 Chrysler Concorde traveling north in the 6800 block of South East End Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood just before 11:15 p.m. when someone on the street approached and fired numerous shots into the passing car.
The woman continued driving to a parking lot several blocks away in the 1500 block of East 69th Street, where authorities later discovered the bullet-riddled car.
Both victims were taken to John H. Stroger Hospital, police said. The man, struck by multiple gunshot wounds to the back, was listed in serious condition. The woman who struck once in the back was in "stable" condition
