3 wounded in overnight shootings # 2

The first shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. on the 9300 block of South Merrill Avenue in the city's Calumet Heights neighborhood, police said.

Preliminary reports said a 22-year-old man was on the sidewalk when he heard shots and realized he was struck. The man, who was shot in the arm and thigh, walked to Advocate Trinity Hospital.
