A 45-year-old man was wounded Wednesday afternoon in a drive-by shooting on the South Side in the city's Grand Boulevard neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 4:17 p.m. on the 100 block of West 51st Street. Preliminary reports said the man was standing on the sidewalk when a silver minivan drove pass and someone inside fired several shots.
The man, who was struck in his neck and his knee, was taken to Stroger Hospital. There was no information available about his condition.
