3 charged in fatal shooting outside South Side party

A 19-year-old man and two 16-year-old boys were charged today in connection with a fatal shooting and a home invasion at a party late Friday night on the South Side.
The shooting happened about 11 p.m. Friday outside a party in the 8400 block of South Constance Avenue in the Stony Island Park neighborhood,.
Dionte Maxwell, 18, of the 8400 block of South Marshfield Avenue, was shot and pronounced dead at 11:53 p.m. at Jackson Park Hospital
Police said Maxwell had been involved in a verbal dispute that turned physical. Apparently he was at a family party when uninvited guest arrived and Maxwell got in a dispute with them.
The person he was arguing with pulled out a gun and shot Maxwell in the chest, then fled the scene.
The alleged shooter, 19, has been charged with first-degree murder. Two others, both 16, were charged with armed home invasion, attempt home invasion and mob action

18 year old man shot dead in Stony Island Park

An 18 year old man was shot outside a party in the 8400 block of South Constance Avenue in the Stony Island Park neighborhood. The Cook County medical examiner's office identified him as Dionte Maxwell, 18, of the 8400 block of South Marshfield Avenue. He was pronounced dead at Jackson Park Hospital at 11:53 p.m

27-year-old man shot in Stony Island Park

At about 11:40 p.m. Thursday, a 27-year-old man was shot in the 8400 block of South Cregier Avenue. He was wounded in the shoulder as he was leaving his house, police said. Someone took him to Advocate Trinity Hospital in Illinois, where he's expected to recover.
