Woman shot in South Chicago

At about 9:30 p.m., a woman in her 20s arrived at Advocate Trinity Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Her condition was stabilized.
Police believe the shooting happened in the 8100 block of South Exchange Avenue, in the South Side's South Chicago neighborhood.

26-year-old man shot in Garfield Park

At about 11:40 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in the 400 block of North Avers Avenue, in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
The man was struck in the leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Boy shot in Englewood

A teenage boy was shot in the foot in the 700 block of West 72nd Street in the Englewood neighborhood about 6:35 p.m. The victim, who told police he had heard shots, then felt pain, but otherwise gave little information about the shooting, was in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

2 men shot in West Elsdon

About 6:52 p.m. in the 3800 block of West 57th Place in the West Elsdon neighborhood, two men in their 20s were shot. One was shot in the stomach, and the other suffered a graze wound to the thigh, and both had had their conditions stabilized at Christ Medical Center.

28-year-old man  shot in Englewood

Just after 7:15 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in the stomach in the 5700 block of South Aberdeen Street in the Englewood neighborhood

21-year-old man  shot in Austin

About 10:31 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in both legs in the 5500 block of West North Avenue in the Austin neighborhood. An attacker came up to the man and shot him, then fled north on Luna Avenue

Passersby help woman being attacked near Orange Line stop

A  woman was able to escape an attacker near the Midway Orange Line with the help of two passersby.
The 18-year-old woman was walking in the 4600 block of West 59th Street about 1 a.m. Monday when a man approached, threw her on the ground and hit her in the head.
The man tried to sexually assault the woman, but she was able to get away with help of two people and the attacker fled.
The attacker is described as Hispanic, between 20 and 25, about 5-foot-2 and weighing about 200 pounds. He had brown hair, cut short, and brown eyes. He was wearing a red baseball cap, a red shirt and blue pants.

Man shot in head on Southwest Side

A person was shot in the head tonight on the Southwest Side.
It happened about 8:15 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Komensky Avenue
A man chased two others who robbed his brother's store before he was shot in the head in the Archer Heights neighborhood.
The 36-year-old man who gave chase wasn't armed. Police said his brother's store, in the 4300 block of West 51st Street, was robbed minutes before the chase and shooting.
Two cars were seen chasing each other along Tripp Avenue in the Archer Heights neighborhood and police found a man in one of the cars shot in the head about 8:15 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Komensky Avenue.
The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition

21-year-old man shot in West Edlsdon (This one sounds fishy)

 A 21-year-old man arrived at John H. Stroger Jr., Hospital of Cook County after being shot in the back on the 5500 block of South Keeler Avenue in the Chicago Lawn police district on the Southwest Side.
He woke up to find someone standing in his room with a gun about 4 p.m. The two began fighting and the man was shot in the back.
He called his father, who drove him to Stroger, police said. It's not clear why he waited more than three hours to go to the hospital.
Police found a shell casing at the scene and said nothing was taken from his home.

25-year-old man shot in West Edlsdon

A 25-year-old man was shot on the 5900 block of Lawndale Avenue, police said. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back, in good condition.
