Three people were wounded this afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, including a 16-year-old boy and a man in his 80s who was sitting on a porch, authorities said.
The shooting happened at about 4 p.m. near the intersection of 70th Street and Parnell Avenue. The third victims is in his 20s.
The victims were taken away by ambulance in serious to critical condition. Two of the victims were taken to Stroger Hospital and the third to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, fire officials said. The man in his 80s was not as seriously wounded as the other two, fire officials said.
