Shortly before midnight in the Englewood neighborhood, a 29-year-old man, was shot in his foot on the 6200 block of South Carpenter Street, police said.
The victim told police he was standing on the corner when an unknown gunman approached and shot him.
The man was taken in good condition to Holy Cross Hospital.
