Police were questioning a person of interest in the shooting, which occurred about 11:57 p.m. Wednesday in the 6600 block of South Wabash Avenue. Is was unclear, however, if that person was viewed as a suspect or an eyewitness.
Officers found Robert Blackman, 25, of 11800 block of South Perry Avenue, lying unresponsive on the street with a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said. He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead
