24-year-old man shot dead Humboldt Park neighborhood

A 24-year-old man was standing in the 4100 block of West Potomac Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood at about 2:45 a.m. when someone fired shots from inside a dark car passing by.
Preliminary reports said he had an argument with another person outside a house on that block before being shot.
The man was hit in his chest and back, and he was pronounced dead after being transported to Mount Sinai Hospital.
The Cook County medical examiner's office identified him as Dwayne Wilks, of the 8300 block of South Green Street in the Gresham neighborhood.
