About 8:15 p.m., officers responded to a call of a man shot on the 400 block of East 74th Street, said Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala. A man, described as in his 30s, was found with a gunshot wound to his chest, citing preliminary reports.
UPDATE
Floyd Peterson, 32, of the 7300 block of South Eberhart Avenue, was pronounced dead 12:31 a.m. this morning at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the medical examiner.
