A man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was shot by police in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, officials said.
The shooting occurred on the 3200 block of West Ohio Avenue at about about 8:10 p.m., according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien.
The shooting victim, who was described as an adult, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, in critical condition, said Larry Langford, a spokesman with the Chicago Fire Department.
The circumstances regarding the shooting were unavailable, but police were investigating, O'Brien said.
No officers were reported injured.
