A 19-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot in the head this afternoon in the Oakland neighborhood on the city's South Side, police said.
The shooting happened at about 4 p.m. on the 3900 block of South Lake Park Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Anne Dwyer.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to his head and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment, Dwyer said.
Several people were being question and a gun was recovered, according to police officials.
