Boy,14, shot while walking to school on Far South Side

A 14-year-old boy was shot on his way to school this morning in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side.
At 8:07 a.m., the boy was walking to school with another boy and a girl in the 200 block of West 103^rd Street when the assailant came out of a gangway and started shooting.
The 14-year-old high school freshman was hit above the left collarbone and was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was listed in “stable’’ condition
