A Chicago teen was ordered held Sunday without bail on suspicion he fatally shot a rival gang member in the back six months ago.
Deven L. Kimberly, 19, of the 11000 block of South Calumet Avenue, is charged with first-degree murder in the March 1 shooting.
Police arrested Kimberly at his home Friday. He is accused of killing 19-year-old Rashad D. Robinson, of the 10000 block of South Lafayette Avenue.
Robinson came to the 10000 block of South Wentworth Avenue with fellow members of the Black Disciples street gang to help a friend who had locked his keys in his car. Kimberly drove past the group.
"A few moments later, the defendant emerged from an alley firing a gun first in the direction of the entire group, then in the victim's direction specifically,". "The group flees and the victim slips and falls in a lot. The defendant then stood over the victim, and shoots him in the back and testicles."
