4 shot at Garfield Park party

Four people were injured by gunfire this morning during an outdoor party in the Garfield Park neighborhood.
The incident happened at about 4:45 a.m. in the 300 block of South Springfield Avenue.
The four people -- three males and a woman -- were standing among people at a large party on the block. They heard gunfire and then realized they had been struck.
The most seriously hurt was an 18-year-old man who was struck in the back by a bullet and is now at Mount Sinai Hospital. A 30-year-old man was struck in one shoulder and went to Bethany Hospital before being transferred the Mount Sinai in fair condition.
A 30-year-old woman was hit in the left thigh and taken in fair condition to Mount Sinai and a 16-year-old boy was taken in good condition to the same hospital with a graze wound to the left hand.
