18-year-old shot on Far South Side

An 18-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting on the city's Far South Side.
The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. Monday in the 11000 block of South State Street in the city's Roseland neighborhood.
The victim was standing on a porch when someone he knew approached, pulled a handgun and opened fire.
The victim, struck in the abdomen and buttocks, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition.
